Privacy Policy Mobile applications
This document describes the privacy policy for mobile applications developed by Opter AB.
Analysis of app usage
No analysis is made of the user’s behavior or input.
The Opter Mobile and Opter Mobile Terminal applications read data from the transport system Opter, the user can update data through the mobile application.
Updates that are saved are for example, pictures of damages, GPS positions to help the dispatchers to plan missions, manual updates to get correct information off the mission.Permissions that the Opter Mobile applications requires
Camera
Required to be able to access the camera device. Needed to document damages, delivery locations and to read bar-codes.
Internet
Allows applications to open network sockets. Needed for communication between application and Opter server.
Acces network state
Allows the applications to access information about networks. Needed to manage synchronization with server when the network coverage is not perfect.
Access fine location
Allows the applications to access precise location. Needed to support rational dispatching decisions and to document delivery location and route choices.
Vibrate
Allows the application access to the vibrator. Used to notify the user that attention is required. Needed to inform about new orders or messages.
Wake lock
Allows the applications to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming. Needed to collect and send GPS positions in the background.
Read phone state
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Needed to set app language based on phone settings.
Bluetooth
Allows the applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices. Needed to use external scanners for bar-code reading.
Write external storage
Allows the applications to write to external storage. Needed to save user changes not yet sent to the server in case of loss of network coverage.
