A clear focus on the environment, around 100 employees and 60 vehicles make Alfta Frakt a leading operator in Swedish transport logistics. The company has been using Opter in its daily operations since 2021.

“We act as a haulier for DHL, and Opter was the best fit for our business because it had the ability to handle the transport we carry out for both DHL and our own customers,” says Erik Persson, Operations Manager.

The company transports goods throughout Sweden and has warehouses in Gävle and Stockholm. Its shipments range from groupage to complex logistics solutions. Opter allows all the involved parties to follow transport assignments in real time, and it has also reduced administration and accelerated the flow of information. As an example, Erik Persson highlights that invoicing is now at least twice as fast as before, because everything is handled digitally in the same system.

Alfta Frakt also uses OpterLink to share jobs with other transport companies. “This applies to collection and delivery shipments, and sometimes even entire transport assignments. We in particular appreciate the two-way communication, as both parties can receive and also send orders for transport shipments. This makes the partnerships with other operators much more efficient and flexible,” says Erik Persson.

Looking to the future, Alfta Frakt believes there is potential for even more cooperation, including beyond Sweden’s borders. And if colleagues in the industry ask about Opter, the answer is unequivocal: “This is a system that can be used for all aspects of transport operations, from order entry to the shipment transportation and then invoicing.
