The freight company GDL AB has roots going back all the way to 1735, when the company Gamla Dragarlaget was founded in Helsingborg. The GDL group now has a presence in 20 locations and also has around 600 employees.
The order handling was mainly done manually in the past, so with Opter the processes are more efficient and this is leading to improvements at every stage of the transport chain. More specifically, it means that GDL’s customers can send out their orders directly to the vehicles. The drivers can thus update and provide real-time information about the current status, as well as closing the order and carrying out invoicing.
“The tool offers a modern digital way of working and we can thus work in a smarter and more transparent way throughout the entire value chain. We now have the opportunity to provide a service that really lives up to our motto of ‘Safe all the way’,” says Anders Bergh, Head of Marketing and Sales at GDL AB.
