When RST Logistics was looking for a transport management system, its requirements were clear: full control over vehicles and communication, advanced pricing matrices and an efficient invoicing solution. Opter was chosen, and eight years later the company has doubled its turnover and tripled its number of assignments, without having to increase its administrative staff.

“Our industry has small margins and cost control is crucial. The system gives us a full overview and makes it possible to handle many customers and assignments,” says Richard Sæther, CEO and owner. He also highlights the price matrices as an important tool in tendering processes. “We can quickly analyse shipment statistics, adjust our prices and optimise our tenders. This gives us a great competitive advantage.”

The company currently employs 30 people and manages the same number of vehicles, 11 of which it owns itself. These handle distribution within Norway, part loads, groupage and express deliveries. With a 6,000 m² terminal and 3PL warehouse, the company has a strong position, especially in its specialised areas of fragile goods and direct deliveries.
