When Marko Lyhty became Chief Operating Officer in 2021, the objective was clear: digitise operations in order to promote efficiency, good order and transparency.
“In the past, planning was done via phone calls and emails, and invoicing was done manually based on paper freight bills. We needed a modern solution that would give us better control and efficiency,” says Marko Lyhty.
After comparing several systems, Opter was chosen. The order flow is now automated and customers give very positive feedback on the company’s own customer web. For Marko and his colleagues at Storemen, the system has brought a whole new level of certainty to their daily work.
“The biggest benefit is that we can be completely sure that all orders will be fulfilled, that invoice leakage is essentially non-existent, and that we can easily access all the required data at the touch of a button.”
By using tools such as digital receipts (ePOD), and tracking vehicle profitability in real time, the company has built efficient, lean and virtually paperless business operations. “Opter creates a digital backbone and also a solid foundation for our future development,” concludes Marko Lyhty.
