With a fleet of 16 vehicles, 26 trailers and two special transport vehicles, the company Kuljetus Timo Salo Oy specialises in the transport of, for example, timber and construction elements. It is now a fourth generation family business that has grown and adapted over the years.
“As a child, I went on holiday with my mum and at the weekends we washed and serviced the vehicles,” says Laura Torila. Laura currently runs Kuljetus Timo Salo Oy together with her siblings Toni Salo and Jarkko Salo, and still occasionally gets behind the wheel of an escort vehicle for special transports.
When the company decided to digitise and automate its transport planning, Opter was the system that best met all its needs. Since then, it has become an indispensable element in the daily work.
