”Opter is very up-to-date.”

Founded in 1981, Tnr Spedisjon is a well-established participant in the Norwegian transport market. The company currently employs over 100 people and has around 65 vehicles. In early 2024, it switched to Opter as its TMS, to meet rapidly increasing volumes and higher demands regarding digitised scanning, traceability and efficiency.

“Technology was the deciding factor. We needed better possibilities, for us as well as for our customers and the carriers,” says Tor Klungtveit, Operations Manager.

Tnr handles large volumes of groupage and acts as a consolidation centre for several major carriers. Real-time control of the terminal is crucial for this, and scanning had become a bottleneck. With the on-floor scanning in Opter, both transport management and customers get an immediate overview of the status of goods.

The administrative work has also been made significantly more efficient, with time-consuming manual tasks such as billing and price calculations now being processed quickly in automated workflows. Tnr also has OpterLink for sharing shipments with partners and subcontractors. “This is an absolutely brilliant feature, and it is very easy to get others to collaborate via OpterLink,” says Tor.

Looking to the future, the company sees great opportunities to grow with this transport management system. It is not yet using all the functionality, but has already noticed numerous clear improvements in the daily work activities. “Opter makes our logistics easier and provides a better overview. I highly recommend it,” concludes Tor Klungtveit.
