In January, PostNord Bud reverted to its old name of PEX Bud. In conjunction with the name change, the brand has been given a new look and an upgraded booking and transport planning system – Opter.
“After looking at a few different alternatives, we chose Opter based on what it offers in terms of us being able to meet market requirements and because it will help us exceed customer expectations,” says Patrik Johansson, IT Systems Coordinator at PEX Bud.

PEX Bud chose Opter as its system because it gives the company a great deal of freedom to create its desired pricing model, access to simple EDI connections, an online customer portal, a driver app and a Track & Trace function that allows customers and recipients to track their deliveries in real time, as well as route optimization that simplifies the planning of large numbers of distribution stops in a smooth way, and statistics for monitoring purposes.
“The implementation of Opter was very straightforward. We have a contact person at Opter who is very responsive and who has guided us through the whole process in a structured way, so we are already generally very pleased even though we have only just got started with the system. For example, the support has been very quick to solve any small issues that have arisen, so we feel like we are in safe hands. We are looking forward with excitement to how our customers react to the new opportunities we can now offer via PEX Bud,” concludes Patrik Johansson.
